How it is covered :
The warranty is a Pro-rata Warranty. The compensation amount is determined by multiplying the customer original purchase price by the percentage of missing kilometers. Short Kilometers is the difference between Guaranteed Kilometers and Achieved Kilometers.
Let's say you buy a set of tires with a 50,000-mile pro rata warranty. After 25,000 miles, one of the tires develops a defect and becomes unsafe to use. At this point, you've used up half of the tire's expected lifespan.
Now, the manufacturer might calculate the refund or credit for the defective tire based on the remaining 25,000 miles or 50% of the warranty period. If the tire's original cost was $200, and you used half of its expected lifespan, you might receive a refund or credit of around $100, reflecting the value of the remaining half of the tire's expected lifespan.
The normal care and upkeep of your wheel arrangement, brakes, suspension, and wheels are significant to the execution and wear of your tires; for this reason, you must return your vehicle to an approved Ceat Tires retailer each 10,000km for a review of these things. In case a tire service is required, a charge will apply for this. Your warranty is subject to this as well as the adjustment of any blame found in your vehicle which may influence tire wear.
